ETHICS

The Scholar's Desk maintains the highest ethical standards for every project we undertake and with every client we serve. We observe the professional practices and guidelines of the leading national associations appropriate to a given project, among them the College Art Association, the American Historical Association, the American Association of Museums, and the Association of Art Editors.

The Scholar's Desk works closely with our academic clients to better the odds of favorable peer review. We pledge to provide honest and constructive evaluations. All project topics, research materials, and manuscripts are kept in confidence, and all notes and drafts are destroyed at a project's conclusion. Signed contracts, evaluative reports composed by The Scholar's Desk, correspondence we exchange with our clients, and, with a client's permission, a copy of the final version of the project may be retained indefinitely.

If we cannot meet your deadline we will not take on your project.

The Scholar's Desk mentors students as they write their college and graduate school application essays. We believe strongly in academic integrity: the essays are the students' work, not ours. We do not research, write, or advise on any document intended for academic credit.
